Gateway to the Lake Wobegon Trail

Fishing and Hunting

Skiing and Snowmobiling

Cross country is available along the Lake Wobegon Trail.  Snowmobile Maps may be picked up at Jim's Snowmobile and City Hall.

The high school swimming pool has open swimming and classes through their Community Education program.  Showers and lifeguards are also available.  Swimming at public beaches in area lakes is also available.

Camping is available at Veterans Memorial Park.  Eight sites with electricity and concrete slabs are available for $35/day.  Primitive tent camping sites are also available at $15/day, with a one week limit.

Camp sites can be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Please call City Hall 320-746-2966 or email City Hall to check availability.

Veteran's Park and Shelter

Located on the south end of Main Street, the park features picnic facilities including a shelter and tables, children’s playground, and volleyball courts. The Cyril Ebnet Ball Field is attached to the Memorial Park. If there is no game or practice underway, round up your family and friends and have a game.

The shelter is available to reserve for $100 per day.  (Does not include the ball field.)  Please call City Hall at 320-746-2966 or email to reserve.

Wobegon Trailhead

As a starting or stopping point, the Wobegon Trailhead in Holdingford offers parking, picnic tables, restrooms, a bike fix-it station and some local history. Take a break and rest a while as you sit in the wooden train cars, check out the area's largest piece of petrified wood, enjoy the boxcar mural painted by a local artist, or stroll though beautiful flower gardens maintained by our Pedals to Petals Garden Club volunteers. Minnesota's longest Covered Bridge is a few blocks south on the Wobegon Trail where you can begin a 10.5 mile Bridge-to-Bridge ride to the Blanchard Dam, where the trail bridge spans the Mississippi River.
