Holdingford may be a small town, but we have much to offer. Whether you are visiting or if you live in Holdingford, from our Lake Wobegon Trailhead Park, you can bike south across the longest covered bridge in Minnesota, located just off main street Holdingford. Biking north, you’ll see more beautiful countryside that will take you on to Morrison County. You can’t miss Veterans Park, with a city campground for tents and motor homes, playground equipment, skateboard ramps, lighted volleyball courts and a softball field just waiting to be used and burn off extra energy. In the center of town, is the Soldiers Shrine, built in 1942 it is the first and oldest memorial in the United States, it is dedicated to the Veterans of World War II. Holdingford is proud to have many strong civic organizations that help the city and surrounding communities. Our main street commerce is growing; new buildings and exciting new businesses complement existing trade. We boast an excellent K-12 school system, outstanding churches, restaurants, assisted living, retail shops and businesses; young and old are very important to us here.
